Ashokan Farewell

Jen introduced this tune. It was written in 1982 by Jay Unger and can be found on his 2nd Fiddle Fever album, Waltz of the Wind. It has long served as a good-night or farewell waltz at Unger's annual Ashokan Fiddle and Dance Camps, held in the Catskills, New York. It is most famous as the theme music for Ken Burn's documentary series, The Civil War.
